Categories

Categories we know how to operate in.

We work with consumer goods where the brand changes the purchase decision. For each category we know the clearance Argentina requires, the channel that dominates and the type of brand that works.

Indicative information. Regulatory requirements and timelines vary by product and formulation; they're confirmed during the assessment.

Beauty & personal care

Clearance required

Importer establishment registration and cosmetic product registration with ANMAT, with Spanish labelling, INCI, batch and expiry. Products claiming therapeutic action move to a different regulatory class and timeline.

Dominant channel

Owned e-commerce and marketplaces at launch; chain perfumeries and pharmacies to scale volume. The professional channel works as social proof.

What kind of brand works

Brands with an identifiable formula or ritual, a clear ingredient story and educational content. With no product differentiation, the category is fought on discount.

Specialty food & beverage

Clearance required

Establishment registration (RNE) and per-product registration (RNPA) with INAL/ANMAT, plus SENASA involvement for animal-origin products. Nutritional labelling and front-of-pack warning seals per current regulation.

Dominant channel

Delicatessens, specialty stores and e-commerce at the start; regional supermarkets once labelling and logistics cost allow. Food service accelerates product trial.

What kind of brand works

Origin brands with a verifiable story, premium or functional positioning. Price per kilo has to hold up against the local substitute.

Home, décor & organisation

Clearance required

Mostly consumer-protection labelling: importer identification, country of origin, composition and dimensions. Electrical items or food-contact articles add specific safety requirements.

Dominant channel

Marketplaces and owned store, given how visual the search is; décor chains and specialty retail as the volume and display channel.

What kind of brand works

Brands with recognisable design and a product system (a full line, not loose pieces). Photography and usage content weigh as much as the product.

Consumer electronics & tech accessories

Clearance required

ENACOM homologation for anything emitting radiofrequency and electrical safety certification under the current regime, with a conformity mark. This is the longest clearance path and must be planned from day one.

Dominant channel

Marketplaces and electronics retail, plus telecom chains for accessories. Prices are compared online instantly, so channel pricing policy is critical.

What kind of brand works

Brands with a defensible technical proposition and after-sales solved. Without local service and a real warranty, the category is unforgiving.

Sports, fitness & outdoor

Clearance required

Textile composition labelling and consumer-protection rules for apparel and footwear; equipment with electrical or safety components adds specific certification. Sports supplements are treated as food.

Dominant channel

Sports retail chains and owned store; gyms, clubs and communities as the seeding channel. Marketplaces for accessory turnover.

What kind of brand works

Brands with technical or community backing and a real usage history. The product has to survive a spec-by-spec comparison.

Pet care

Clearance required

Pet food and veterinary products require SENASA registration, including importer registration and label approval. Accessories and toys fall under consumer-protection labelling.

Dominant channel

Pet shops and vet clinics as the recommendation channel, subscription e-commerce for repurchase, and chains for volume.

What kind of brand works

Brands with differentiated formulation or materials and professional endorsement. Repurchase depends on the vet as much as on the owner.

Supplements & wellness

Clearance required

Dietary supplements are registered with ANMAT/INAL under RNE and RNPA, with strict limits on claims and permitted ingredients. This is where imported communication most often fails.

Dominant channel

Pharmacies and health-food stores for credibility, owned subscription e-commerce for margin, marketplaces for reach.

What kind of brand works

Brands with evidence, ingredient traceability and messaging that can be sustained within Argentine regulation.
